As a travel doctor I offer support to travellers with health problems. Sometimes fear for difficulties impedes the desire to travel even more. My job is to help you with medical preparations and to escort you during your travels. I help people who travel for pleasure or for business, individually or with others. By experience, I know that with a profound preparation many concerns about the health can be taken away. Also I repatriate patients in assignment of insurance companies and support expeditions.

What can you expect from me as travel doctor?

First we meet in order to get acquainted. We discuss your wishes and health situation. If necessary I get myself informed about your situation through consultation with family doctor or specialist. It is important that I am very well informed about your health! In consultation with you I take necessary precautions to reduce health risks during the trip as much as possible. It turns out that especially a good logistic preparation can prevent much trouble from happening. For instance, I communicate with airports about transport and facilities present and orientate myself on services at the place of destination. I make sure necessary equipment is present in the airplane. For example, provisions can be made to administer oxygen on the plane. I prepare the trip carefully and solve medical as well as logistical problems before and on the way.

During the trip I am supplied with an extensive pharmacy to include monitoring devices and requirements for resuscitation. Depending on your personal situation the kit can be expanded.

A smooth progress of the trip prevents unnecessary physical burden. Everything can be discussed and for each problem I look for a solution.
